The JFK Runway project represents a unique approach to contaminated soil off-site transport. For the first time in Impact Environmental's 21 year history, soil was transported via barge. Using its in-house engineering department, Impact Environmetnal was able to obtain permission to operate a material transfer faciility for supplying a barge. At project completion in February 2011, 200,000 tons of soil was transported off-site via barge. This is just another example of what can be done by the application of creative and intelligent thinking.  Welcome to Solid Ground.
