Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) investigates areas of concern identified in a Phase I ESA, in order to more clearly evaluate the true liability associated with a property.
Impact Environmental has full service Phase II ESA capabilities. The firm can perform quality services to acquire accurate results in an expedient manner. State-of-the-art equipment allows for fast, efficient sample and data collection.
For example, Impact Environmental owns and operates a fleet of Geoprobe vehicle-mounted hydraulic probing system, that allows for the non-obtrusive acquisition of soil, groundwater, or vapor samples.
Phase II ESA services performed by Impact Environmental include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Subsurface soil sampling
• Groundwater sampling (monitoring wells and Geoprobe)
• Leaching pool/underground injection well sampling
• Surface water sampling
• Asbestos sampling
• Lead paint and dust sampling
• SPDES sampling
• Tank testing
• Geophysical surveying
• Flow studies
All analytical work is performed by an independent Federal and State certified commercial laboratory.
All staff members have Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) forty-hour training. Supervisors are certified by the USEPA for sampling hazardous materials. Asbestos and lead sampling is performed by certified technicians.
The cost to complete a Phase II ESA can range from $500 to $500,000. The exact scope is dependent upon the number of conditions identified from the performance of a Phase I ESA. |
